CW6200ZC-12 mini-watt heavy oil engine made for Changhang group in 2004
In 2004, to meet up with the special requirements of China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Corporation (short for CCNSGC) for its 200TEU container ship, Weichai tailor-produced CW6200ZC-12 low-power diesel engines. In its trial sailing, the ship succeeded to save fuel worth RMB 40,000 for the same routes usually taken by other normal ships. In the same year, CW6200ZC-12 won the approval from experts from Chongqing Science & Technology Council. In 2006, the S & T Dept. Of CCNSGC organized an assessment of CW6200ZC-12 and held it as the first choice for 500kW ships.

In July 2012, Guohang inland ship equipped with Weichai 8250 diesel engine went into operation. With a length of 139.8 meters, a width of 24 meters and a height of 9.2 meters, the ship consists four floors and is capable of carrying 37,000 tons of goods with a maximum speed of eleven knots. The main and auxiliary engines of the ship all come from Weichai. Of them, the two main engines are CW8250 model manufactured by Chongqing Weichai with a unit power output of 2000 HP; the three auxiliary engines are equipped with Weichai Deutz 226B4CD generator units. Its power steering system is Weichai 450 HP Lanjin WP12. Its main engines boast a propulsion power of 4450 HP in total, the highest among the inland ships.

3. In May 2012, HC869 stern ramp trawlers with the No. 57261 and No. 57262 equipped with Weichai CW6250ZLC-1 diesel engine made their maiden voyage. With excellent performance, the engine won the recognition from both boat owners and bureau of fishing inspection.

In 2009, CW6200ZC-6 (518kW, 720r/min) diesel engine was tailor-made for China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Corporation for its promotion of Changjiang New 325TEU Energy-saving Container Ship. During the trial operation, the engine delivered good performance with high fuel economy and low emission. Later, the project became the demonstration project of energy-saving and emission reduction advocated by the Ministry of Transport.
